Modern Workplace - Computer Basics
Description
This course will help you grow familiar with the basics of computer usage expected in the modern workplace. Familiarize yourself with using a computer, accessing your documents, and the basics of using computer applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
This course is intended for anyone who intends to transition into a career that requires basic computer skills, as well as for anyone who wants a better understanding on how to use these skills in their personal life. This course will not cover Microsoft applications in-depth. 
Course Outline:
- Setting up log in and lock / logging into device, importance of locking company devices when not in use
 - Connecting to wifi on a computer (practice connecting to LO wifi)
 - How to access available basic applications like word, excel, outlook (follow along with trainer)
 - How to access files (follow along)
 - How to save a document or file, then retrieve it/locate it (practice opening word, creating an example file, and saving a word document file)
 - How to access web browsers, available web browsers, basic search functionality
 - Opening Outlook, basic compose, reply, forward, and attaching a file (practice composing basic email, replying to email, attaching a file, and how to create a folder and save emails)
