(Online Delivery) Intermediate AI Workshop

This class is a follow-up to the more basic/entry level AI classes offered at Logical Operations. Students in this class should have prior experience in an AI course offered by Logical Operations. It is recommended that students have previously taken either one of our "How to Create and Use a Prompt" classes or one of our "Getting the Most out of your Spreadsheets/Documents/Presentations with GenAI" classes.

Description

All students who enroll are invited to submit a question or scenario to work through live in class with their trainer during the workshop portion of the outline. Please submit your question or scenario to gethelp@logicaloperations.com.

Lesson 1: Re-Grouping/Baselining on AI

  • What is AI
  • AI Methodologies
    • Machine Learning
    • Deep Learning
    • Gen AI
  • AI Ethics

In Lesson 1, students create a ChatGPT account (if they don’t have one) and then do some minds-on/discussion-based questions as a group. We do a brief, high-level summary of basic AI terms to help center the group conversation/understand existing knowledge levels on the topic before we go into more hands-on/practical use-cases for using AI tools such as ChatGPT.\

Lesson 2: Utilizing Gen AI: a Refresher

  • What is a prompt?
  • Utilizing basic prompting
  • Prompting for basic business use

In Lesson 2, students practice prompting – working through basic interactions with ChatGPT all the way through to asking ChatGPT to build an email. We add additional activities around Excel and PowerPoint (building functions, brainstorming for a presentation, and building presentation outlines as typical examples).

Lesson 3: Intermediate-Level Prompting

  • Utilizing GenAI for content creation
  • RISEN Methodology
  • Guided Iteration
  • Chain of Thought Prompts
  • Chaos Prompting
  • Ishikawa and SWOT analysis

In Lesson 3, students do hands-on activities aimed at practicing (and understanding when to use) the intermediate-level prompting techniques listed above.

Lesson 4: Prompting Workshop.

This lesson is a workshop style/open discussion designed to work live through students’ real-world scenarios. Students are welcome to bring their own questions and their own scenarios in which they’d like to use ChatGPT. Our trainer will pull from a list of previously submitted questions and scenarios, and work through them with the group with the time that remains in the session.
