(Private, Online Delivery) Applied Agentic AI: Building an AI Agent for Your Organization (up to 12 attendees)

Description

Move from understanding agentic AI to putting it to work inside your organization.

In this hands-on, customized course, participants identify a real business process that can benefit from an AI agent and work through the process of designing, building, testing, and deploying that agent using their organization’s preferred AI environment, content, workflows, and systems.

Rather than working through generic examples, participants apply agentic AI directly to an organizational use case. The course covers use-case selection, workflow design, knowledge integration, automation, system connections, guardrails, testing, deployment, governance, and planning for future agent initiatives.

By the end of the course, participants will have practical experience developing an AI agent for a real business scenario and a roadmap for expanding agentic AI capabilities across their organization.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for business and technical professionals who want to move from learning about agentic AI to applying it within their organization.

Potential participants include professionals in:

  • Operations

  • Human Resources

  • Learning and Development

  • Customer Service

  • Sales and Marketing

  • Compliance

  • Finance

  • IT

  • Knowledge Management

  • Business Process Improvement

No programming experience is required.

Prerequisites

Participants should have a basic understanding of generative AI and agentic AI concepts.

Logical Operations' AgenticAIBIZ: Foundations of Agentic AI provides excellent preparation for this course, but equivalent knowledge or experience may also satisfy the prerequisite.

Participants do not need prior AI agent development or coding experience.

Delivery Format

Four instructor-led virtual sessions — approximately 90 minutes each

Sessions are typically delivered approximately one week apart, allowing participants to test, evaluate, and refine their agent between sessions.

Because the course is built around the organization’s actual environment and business requirements, examples and activities are customized prior to delivery.

Course Content

Session 1: Identify and Design an Agentic AI Use Case

Participants begin by identifying where an AI agent can create measurable value within their organization.

The instructor guides the team through evaluating processes, workflows, information requirements, systems, pain points, and opportunities for automation.

Participants will:

  • Identify business processes that are good candidates for an AI agent.

  • Analyze existing workflows and sources of inefficiency.

  • Prioritize potential agent use cases based on business value and feasibility.

  • Define the role, objectives, users, and desired outcomes of the agent.

  • Identify required systems, knowledge sources, and organizational data.

  • Review security, access, compliance, and governance considerations.

  • Create an initial design for the agent that will be developed during the course.

Session Deliverables

  • Prioritized agent opportunities

  • Selected organizational use case

  • Defined agent objectives and scope

  • Workflow map

  • Identification of required platforms, systems, and knowledge sources

Session 2: Build the Agent and Connect Organizational Knowledge

Participants begin building the AI agent using the organization's selected agentic AI platform and approved internal content.

The focus is on transforming the business requirements identified during Session 1 into a working agent.

Participants will:

  • Create the initial agent.

  • Define the agent's purpose, instructions, behaviors, and boundaries.

  • Structure agent logic around the selected business workflow.

  • Connect approved organizational knowledge sources.

  • Incorporate documents, procedures, policies, FAQs, and other relevant content.

  • Design interactions between users and the agent.

  • Test the agent using real-world organizational scenarios.

  • Evaluate responses for relevance, accuracy, and consistency.

Session Deliverables

  • Initial working AI agent

  • Connected organizational knowledge

  • Defined agent instructions and behaviors

  • Initial test scenarios and results

Session 3: Automate Workflows and Connect Business Systems

Participants expand the agent beyond question answering by connecting it to organizational processes and systems.

The focus shifts from an informational agent to an agent capable of helping perform or coordinate real work.

Participants will:

  • Identify tasks that can be automated or agent-assisted.

  • Design automated workflows around the selected use case.

  • Connect the agent to applicable organizational systems.

  • Explore integrations with platforms such as CRM, LMS, SharePoint, ticketing, collaboration, and other business systems.

  • Define triggers, actions, approvals, and escalation paths.

  • Establish appropriate human-in-the-loop controls.

  • Develop guardrails for accuracy, security, compliance, and appropriate agent behavior.

  • Test the agent across realistic workflow scenarios.

Session Deliverables

  • Automated or agent-assisted workflow

  • Relevant system connections

  • Defined approval and escalation processes

  • Agent guardrails

  • Expanded testing results

Session 4: Test, Deploy, Govern, and Scale the Agent

Participants prepare their agent for organizational use.

The team conducts final testing, evaluates performance, establishes ownership and governance requirements, and creates a roadmap for expanding agentic AI to additional business processes.

Participants will:

  • Conduct end-to-end agent testing.

  • Identify and correct gaps in agent knowledge and behavior.

  • Refine instructions, workflows, and integrations.

  • Establish quality and performance expectations.

  • Define ownership and ongoing agent maintenance responsibilities.

  • Establish governance and review processes.

  • Prepare the agent for deployment within the organization's environment.

  • Identify opportunities for additional AI agents and automation.

  • Develop an organizational roadmap for scaling agentic AI.

Session Deliverables

  • Tested organizational AI agent

  • Deployment plan

  • Agent maintenance and ownership plan

  • Governance framework

  • Roadmap for future AI agent opportunities
