Coaching and Goal Setting Workshop
Description
Elevate leadership skills through coaching methods and utilizing goal setting strategies with employees. This course will include a lecture presentation, discussion based learning and applied activities. Students will have the opportunity to write and evaluate specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound goals.
The course will cover these topics:
- Understanding the difference between managing and coaching employees.
- Learning how the role of active listening connects to understanding.
- Leader as a detective to find employee motivators and goals.
- Learn to develop employees through proper goal setting.
- How to write SMART goals
- Goal setting strategy and agreeing on goals.
- Evaluate goals objectively.
Course methodology:
This course is designed to be approximately 50% presentation and 50% discussion/application. This will be a highly interactive course. Students can expect a PowerPoint presentation for delivery of material. Polls, reflective questions, small group activities, case studies and discussion will be used to deliver this course.
About the trainer:
Ginny Hupp is a Senior Instructor/Facilitator with over 25 years’ experience in adult learning. Coupled with her corporate management and leadership positions, she has had the unique experience of working with small, local businesses to large global organizations and everything in between across a wide range of industries. Along with her Technical IT and Soft Skills certifications, Ginny has acquired both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the disciplines of Human Communication, Business Management and Organizational Communication and is an Adjunct Professor in North Carolina. Ginny is fiercely passionate about training, and share’s that enthusiasm with all her students.
